What does Archiving an Org do and why would you use it?


Please note that Archiving is purely that, it simply stops any further backups being taken, removes the Xero connection and keeps all the data on our service, as an 'archive', for later retrieval. It does not DELETE the organisation or associated data, it simply parks it. Think of putting your car into storage, you are no longer driving it, but want a safe place to store it and later retrieve it for use. Just like a stored car, you will be charged for an Archived org as it is technically still using our service to store it, we just don't charge as much as 'Wilsons' ;-)

  1. Go to Manage My Company > Manage Xero Organisations 
  2. Click on the 'archive' icon 
  3. Click 'archive organisation' button to continue

NOTE: This will also disable Xero integration for this organisation. Once you have done this the application will not renew the tokens that authenticate with Xero and new datasets will not be taken. No users will be able to view the datasets.
