Our Infrastructure & Business Continuity Framework
Control-C is built on a simple principle: your data should remain accessible, resilient, and under your control when live systems, vendors, or connectivity are under pressure.
Control-C has three sovereign data locations. AU backup data is stored in Australia, NZ backup data in New Zealand, and UK backup data in the United Kingdom. Available locations depend on the product.
New Zealand infrastructure
The Wellington and Auckland infrastructure described below applies to the NZ service.
Primary Infrastructure: Wellington
Our primary environment is hosted in New Zealand within a premium carrier-neutral data centre in Wellington, operated by Xtreme Networks.
This provides:
- Enterprise-grade connectivity through major telecommunications networks.
- Carrier-neutral architecture supporting diverse network paths.
- Proven operational reliability for business-critical services.
- New Zealand data sovereignty, keeping customer backup data stored in our managed platform within New Zealand jurisdiction.
Secondary Failover Infrastructure: Auckland
Control-C also operates a geographically independent secondary failover environment in Auckland.
The Auckland environment is hosted within enterprise-tier 2degrees data centre infrastructure, designed for high availability and continuity. This facility-level environment supports ISO 27001-certified security practices, resilient power and environmental controls, and carrier-grade connectivity for cross-region replication.
Layered Redundancy
Control-C extends beyond traditional backup by combining multiple independent recovery paths:
- Dual-region replication across Wellington and Auckland.
- Optional third copy to customer-controlled cloud storage.
- Downloadable backups on demand for local retention, audit, or recovery workflows.
- In-Control offline access, so authorised users can view and work with backup data through a secure browser-based environment without relying on the live SaaS platform.
What This Means In Practice
This continuity model helps ensure customer data is not dependent on a single platform, a single physical location, online-only access, or one vendor environment.
Instead, Control-C gives organisations multiple recovery options designed to support continuity planning, audit readiness, and operational resilience.
Business Continuity Without Compromise
Control-C combines:
- Premium primary infrastructure in Wellington.
- Independent failover capability in Auckland.
- Optional customer-controlled storage.
- Fully exportable backup datasets.
- Offline accessibility through In-Control.
That creates a practical continuity framework, rather than a single-layer backup store.
